FAQs
Are you accepting new patients?
Yes. Belmont Family Dentistry is accepting new patients. Call (503) 234-1218 to schedule, and patient forms are texted to you after scheduling so you can complete them before you arrive instead of filling out paperwork in the waiting room.
What dental insurance do you take?
The practice is dental insurance-friendly and accepts all PPO dental insurance plans, filing claims on your behalf to maximize your benefits. Pre-determinations are recommended for treatment estimated above $500.
Do you offer payment plans or financing?
Yes. CareCredit financing is available through the office, which lets you split the cost of treatment from dental implants to Invisalign into smaller payments. Private pay patients receive a 5% discount on major or lab-involved treatment when paying by check or cash.
What payment methods do you accept?
The office accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, debit cards and any health savings cards, along with check and cash. Payment is due at the time of service.
Can I be seen the same day for a dental emergency?
Same-day appointments are offered for existing patients. Call the team and they will provide first aid guidance and help determine whether same-day emergency care is needed. In some cases treatment happens the same day as your exam, and in others the procedure is planned for a later date.
Can I get a crown in one visit?
Yes. CEREC same-day dental crowns are done in the office while you wait, using computer-assisted design software to custom design a porcelain crown. A single tooth can typically be completed within 60 to 120 minutes, so only one appointment is required.
I have not been to a dentist in years. What happens at my first visit?
The team never judges a person, no matter what has kept them from seeing a dentist. An initial appointment includes full-mouth X-rays, a comprehensive examination and a customized treatment plan you can follow at your own pace. Patients who feel anxious can arrange a complimentary consultation to tour the office and meet the team first.
Is the office really solar powered?
Yes. Over 85 solar panels generate enough solar power to offset 100% of the office's energy use, powering everything from the lights to the equipment used for dental procedures, and preventing over 100,000 pounds of CO2 emissions each year.
