FAQs
How soon can you pick up my junk?
A pickup can usually be scheduled within 24 to 48 hours of your call, text, or email. Same day service is also available, and once you review the estimate the crew can take your items that day.
Do you charge for an estimate?
No. Estimates are free with no risk and no commitment. Call for a free quote and you will get an upfront price before any items are removed.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Cleanout Express is licensed and insured. Call the office if you need more detail on the licensing and insurance information.
What items will you take away?
The crew removes anything that can be safely lifted and loaded onto the trucks, including boxes, furniture, exercise equipment, construction debris, appliances, tires, yard waste, mattresses, electronics, mowers, and carpeting. Swing sets, pools, garages, sheds, and decks can also be dismantled and hauled away. Hazardous materials are not accepted.
Do you handle commercial jobs?
Yes. Cleanout Express serves property management companies, retail chains, stores, real estate agents, attorneys, hotels, and contractors, and no commercial job is too big or too small.
How is pricing determined?
Prices vary based on location, and there is a minimum fee for a crew to remove your items. Pricing also depends on the degree of difficulty of the removal and factors such as local disposal and recycling fees.
Do I need to be home when the crew arrives?
Cleanout Express prefers that someone is on site when the crew arrives. If nobody is there, the team will size up the items and load, then call to confirm pricing before starting the job.
What happens to the junk after it is removed?
Most junk goes to the nearest solid waste facility or transfer station for proper disposal. Salvageable items go to charity drop offs or recycling centers through relationships built with New York City recycling centers, thrift shops, and charities.
