FAQs
Are you licensed and insured?

Do you charge for estimates?
No. You can get a free, no obligation moving quote. Keep in mind the estimate is not binding, because Illinois law requires charges to be based on the actual hours worked.
Is there a minimum charge?
Yes. The minimum is 2.5 hours, plus a travel fee that is based on the distance from and to the company warehouse.
What forms of payment do you accept?
Moovers Chicago accepts cash, cashier's check, money order, and credit card. All card transactions are charged a processing fee, and cash payments are receipted on the signed Bill of Lading.
How far in advance should I book my move?
Book about 30 days out or more, especially during the warm season or if you are moving at the end of the month. Cancellation and rescheduling are complimentary with a minimum of 24 business hours notice.
Do you offer storage?
Yes. Moovers Chicago offers short and long term storage, including full service storage, climate controlled storage, and document storage.
Will the movers disassemble and reassemble my furniture?
Yes, unless a piece requires special disassembly. Items such as cribs, bunk beds, and medical beds are only disassembled and are not reassembled, for safety reasons.
Do you handle long distance and out of state moves?
Yes. Along with local moves in Chicago, the company handles long distance and out of state relocations and is registered with the U.S. Department of Transportation for interstate moves.
