Lakeland Air Conditioning Company, known locally as Lakeland AC Company, is a family-owned, locally owned heating and cooling company at 1220 George Jenkins Blvd in Lakeland, Florida. James Agnello founded the company in 2006, and his son Tony Agnello replaced him as acting owner in 2015 and leads it today. The company describes itself as a local, family-owned business rather than a national chain, built on one idea: be the company you feel proud to tell your closest friends and family about. Tony believes in a transparent company to customer relationship, with the goal of building relationships that outlast the life of your air conditioner, and the team is committed to serving Polk County. Cooling work covers AC repairs, AC installation, ductless mini-split systems for additions and older homes, and AC servicing and maintenance. When an AC cannot keep up with Lakeland heat and humidity, the company responds fast, services all major brands and system types, and offers honest diagnostics, clear pricing, and same-day emergency repairs. Heating work runs from heat pump repairs to full system replacements built for Central Florida homes. Indoor air quality services include whole-home filtration, UV lights, humidity control, and duct solutions. The Stress-Free A/C Program bundles scheduled tune-ups, included filters, a smart thermostat, and repair coverage into a predictable monthly payment, and the annual tune-up covers cleaning the evaporator and condenser coils, flushing the main drain line, checking safety switches, and inspecting refrigerant pressure. Electrical work is handled by Look Electric Co., the electrical company under the same local ownership, with panel upgrades, rewiring, lighting, and EV charger installations completed by its own licensed electricians. The process is described in three steps: inspect and diagnose the real issue, explain the options with upfront pricing and honest recommendations, then complete the work, with most jobs finished the same day. Technicians are locally based, licensed, insured, and background checked, pricing is clear and upfront before work begins, and the company states there are no high-pressure sales, ever. Financing is available through Wells Fargo, WiseTack, and Microf, and a referral discount gives 20% off your next service or maintenance visit. Lakeland AC Company holds a 4.9 rating across 1,361 Google reviews.
