Atlas Chiropractic Center
Atlas Chiropractic Center is a holistic chiropractic clinic in St. Petersburg, Florida, founded in 2018 by Dr. Johanna, who brings 14 years of chiropractic adjusting experience. The practice takes a nervous system and structure focused approach: rather than managing symptoms, the team analyzes nervous system patterns and works to restore the proper curvature of the spine so the body can function optimally. Care is built around Chiropractic BioPhysics (CBP) methodology and includes corrective care, monthly wellness maintenance, Webster certified prenatal and postpartum care, and gentle pediatric care for infants and children. Patients come in for neck, back, pelvic, joint and TMJ pain, headaches and migraines, sciatica and other nerve impingements, chronic stress and tension, poor work posture, disc injury, and sleep and digestive issues. The first visit is a comprehensive whole body evaluation that includes a 1:1 consultation, a posture and functional movement assessment, INSiGHT nervous system scans and x-ray imaging, a personalized adjustment, and a follow-up report of findings appointment where you review the results and choose a plan of care. The office is out of network with all insurance providers and offers several tiers of care, in house financing and CareCredit. It sits in a medical plaza with free, ample parking, in Suite A.

FAQs
What happens at my first visit?
Your first visit is a comprehensive whole body evaluation rather than just an adjustment. It includes a 1:1 consultation, a posture and functional movement assessment, advanced INSiGHT nervous system scans and x-ray imaging, a personalized chiropractic adjustment, and a follow-up report of findings appointment where you review the analysis and select a plan of care. The new patient visit is listed at $180.
Do you accept insurance?
Atlas Chiropractic Center is out of network with all insurance providers. The office can give you a detailed receipt to submit to your insurance provider for direct reimbursement, and office visits are kept comparable to a specialist copay. The practice does not work with Medicare or Medicaid in any capacity, including supplemental plans or out of network benefits.
What is Chiropractic BioPhysics?
Chiropractic BioPhysics (CBP) is a research backed technique used to address structural weakness of the spine, which often shows up as a loss of proper curvature. When curvature is lost, the body overcompensates, causing muscular imbalances, nerve impingements, inflammation and disruption in the brain's communication with the rest of the body. Corrective care using CBP methodology works to restore that structure.
What conditions do you help with?
Patients come to Atlas for neck, back, pelvic, joint and TMJ pain, chronic stress and nervous system dysregulation, sciatica and other nerve impingements, poor work posture and loss of mobility, headaches and migraines, pregnancy related aches and pains, sleep and digestive issues, pediatric feeding, sleep, elimination and sensory issues, injury recovery, and neurological symptoms such as vertigo, numbness and tingling.
Do you treat children and pregnant patients?
Yes. Dr. Johanna is Webster certified for prenatal and postpartum care and ICPA4Kids certified for pediatric care. The INSiGHT nervous system scans are safe for both prenatal and pediatric patients, and no x-rays are taken during pregnancy or for the youngest patients.
Once I begin care, do I have to keep going forever?
No. If you arrive in a pain cycle or with an acute issue, care starts with the corrective work that issue needs. Once you are out of the pain cycle and physical and neurological improvements are showing, you move from corrective care to wellness maintenance at whatever frequency works for you.
How do I pay for care?
The office offers several different sizes of care plans based on your goals, exam and x-ray results, lifestyle, schedule and budget. In house financing is available, and the practice also accepts CareCredit, a medical credit card that lets you extend monthly payments without additional interest as long as payments are made on time.
