FAQs
Do I have to pack all of my own boxes and fragile items?
No. Agility Van Lines offers a full range of packing services. You can choose a full pack option where you sit back and watch the crew work, or a customized partial pack covering only breakables and fragile items. On all moves, as part of standard service, the crew wraps and protects all of the major furniture items with moving blankets and tape.
Do you offer storage?
Yes. The company can provide short or long term storage depending on your family's needs. Storage in transit covers the period when you are out of your current home but not ready to move into the new one, and long term storage is available for six months or longer. Call your moving coordinator to discuss the options.
Is coverage included for my belongings?
All moves include free of charge "$0.60 per pound per article standard liability valuation", and Agility also offers optional "Full coverage valuation" on every move. The company describes itself as licensed and insured and operates under US DOT 2564711, MC 895410 and Fla. Mover Reg. No. IM-2431.
What happens if a semi cannot fit into my neighborhood?
That is not an issue here. Agility does not use tractor trailers, it uses twenty-six-foot box trucks. Because there is no semi, there is no need for a shuttle, and the company notes that no shuttle translates into less cost for you.
Is there a charge for stairs or a long carry?
Agility covers up to one flight of stairs, which it defines as 12 steps. For a long carry, the company covers up to 75 feet from where the truck can park to the front door of the house. Let your moving consultant know about stairs, limited parking or other access restrictions when you get your estimate.
Do you move pianos?
Yes. The staff is trained to carefully protect and move all types of pianos. Mention the piano during your consultation so the moving consultant can plan the crew and equipment for it.
Will my furniture be reassembled at the new place?
Yes. Any furniture the crew disassembles at origin is professionally reassembled at destination. There are a few exceptions, such as kit or IKEA furniture that requires a handyman or many hours of disassembly and assembly.
How far in advance should I reserve my move?
As early as you can. Availability can change very quickly depending on customer demand, and the earlier your move is reserved the higher the likelihood of securing the dates you need and the best rates possible. You will have an assigned moving consultant to help you through the estimate process.
