Chiropractic for Kids and Adults is a family chiropractic practice on Chiquita Blvd S in Cape Coral, Florida, treating patients from newborns through grandparents. The practice describes its work as correcting spinal subluxations, the misalignments that interfere with the nervous system, through gentle and precise adjustments so that nerves can carry impulses to every part of the body without obstruction. Its stated primary goal is not simply pain relief but a nervous system that is working optimally, which the office links to better sleep, easier digestion, improved immune function and more energy. Care is offered by Dr. Evan Crichton, D.C., who holds a bachelor's degree in biological science from Ohio University and a doctorate in chiropractic from Logan University, and who spent a two and a half year internship training in the Gonstead technique named for its founder, Dr. Clarence Gonstead. Bailey Castillo-Crichton is listed as co-owner and operations manager. Children are a particular focus: the practice says kids benefit from gentle adjustments beginning at birth and through childhood, and it describes infant work as light pressure with no cracking, comparable to the pressure used to check a ripe tomato. Pregnancy care is another focus, with the team describing itself as trained and experienced in prenatal chiropractic before, during and after birth. The office also works with athletes of every level, from weekend runners to high school competitors, on imbalances caused by repetitive strain. New patients should plan on about 30 to 45 minutes for a first visit covering paperwork, goals and a spinal assessment, followed by a second visit of roughly 20 minutes where x-ray and exam results are reviewed and a corrective care plan is explained. For payment, the office lists affordable self-pay rates for patients without insurance coverage, accepts cash, checks and credit cards, notes that HSA and FSA funds may be usable depending on the plan, and offers a family care plan through Preferred Chiropractic Doctor. The office is open Monday through Thursday with a morning and an afternoon block each day, and is closed Friday through Sunday.
