Are you accepting new patients?

What are your office hours?
We are open Monday through Thursday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM and Friday from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM. We are closed Saturday and Sunday.
Who are the dentists at Craig Dental Associates?
Three dentists see patients here. Dr. James F. Walton III founded the practice and earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at Emory University College of Dentistry. Dr. Blake Garfinkel earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine and provides a full range of general dentistry. Dr. Kathryn Gavalas is a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry with a general practice residency at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital and a dual fellowship in implant and digital dentistry from the University of Florida.
Do you take dental insurance?
We accept most major PPO insurance plans, including Aetna, United Concordia, Sunlife Financial Freedom Choice and Assurant, and we accept any traditional indemnity insurance plan. We are a network provider for the PPO dental plans of Aetna, Sunlife and United Concordia. We will gladly complete and submit your claims as long as you give us complete and accurate insurance information.
What if I need help paying for treatment?
Financing through Proceed Financial and CareCredit is available for major dental work done in our office, and CareCredit offers no interest financing or low minimum monthly payment options. We accept Mastercard, Visa, American Express and Discover credit cards as well as cash and personal checks. Our billing coordinator is happy to discuss any insurance or billing questions.
What happens at my first visit?
Your first visit is your chance to get to know the practice, see the facility and meet the office team. We discuss your dental concerns, collect the relevant health history and background information, and perform a clinical exam to establish a baseline for care. Once we have gathered that information and any diagnostic images, we explain whether treatment is needed and what your best options are.
