Absolutely the best and most honest place for your automotive needs. I’ve lived in the greater Stamford area for 4 decades. I’ve heard people go to many places for their car repairs, but this place is second to none. Wouldn’t trust anyone else. I’ve talked to a number of people that have domestic and foreign cars that have taken their cars here and they all have espressed their complete trust and satisfaction with taking their cars here for all types of service.

Tony is knowledgeable, reasonable, and looked out for our best interests financially. My wife and I will continue to take our cars here for needed repairs. Being new to Stamford and being from the mid-west, we were unsure if we would find a reasonable and trusted mechanic. But a friend referred us to Shippan auto repair and it has been a great experience!

Tony was great! My driver side window was stuck all the way down but with a snow storm coming, among other reasons not to keep your car window rolled down when the car is unattended, I definitely needed it fixed ASAP. I called ahead, the shop was closing in one hour but Tony fit me in. Timeframe was quick and pricing fair. Will definitely go back but hopefully won't have to for a while!

I needed my rear shocks replaced. Tony was able to schedule me even after Hurricane Sandy came through the area and brought down the power for half of the week. My expectations were managed well. I was told to come in a few days after the storm, once they had a chance to get back up and running. I dropped off the car in the morning and picked it up at noon. They were also able to determine how the adjustable shocks worked. I was charged a fair price.

I trust Tony with my life. I was introduced to him by a fellow employee at a local limousine service (who would know about local repair shops) and I've taken my cars and my children's cars to him for the past 12 years. He is an honest tradesman. He had better not ever retire, at least not until I move to another part of the country.

I've been bringing my cars to Shippan for years, and they consistently exceed my expectations. The work is done quickly, expertly and on-time. You'll never have a bad surprise - they're scrupulously honest and very reasonable. If they say something needs to be done, it does, and if it doesn't, they'll tell you. Tony is a pro's pro, does the best and most reasonably priced work I've ever seen. He's fixed my BMW and Acura many times, never a single issue.

Tony is my go to guy, has been for about 5 years now. Honest as they come (has saved me money letting me know when his services weren't actually required, just user error) and everything he has fixed for me has stood the test of time. Just the best.
