Alpine Chiropractic is a family-owned practice in Thornton, Colorado, describing itself as having over 23 years of experience offering services in Colorado for infants, children, and seniors. The team states its focus is helping practice members achieve "a long life, well-lived," and its mission is to bring health, inspiration, and improved quality of life to individuals and families so they can live without limits through every stage of development. Care is delivered by a husband and wife team, Dr. Leah McAlpine and Dr. James Hoffman, who both hold doctorates from Life University. Dr. McAlpine is a member of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association, and Dr. Hoffman graduated Cum Laude after earning his Bachelor of Science from the University of Brockport in New York. The office uses a variety of adjusting approaches to improve spinal mechanics and reduce nervous system interference, with primary techniques that include Diversified, Activator Methods, Thompson, SOT, and the Webster Technique for expectant mothers. Patients who have seen a chiropractor before and prefer a particular style of adjustment are invited to say so. A first visit takes about an hour and includes paperwork, X-rays, and a thorough examination, and the second visit delivers a Report of Findings with the doctor's recommendations. The practice also offers therapeutic massage, with a team that specializes in deep-tissue, Swedish, therapeutic, full-body, prenatal, sports, and medical-massage.

What happens on my first visit?
Your first visit will take about an hour. You will fill out your admitting paperwork and may also be shown a five-minute video. Then you will have X-rays taken and meet with your chiropractor, who will discuss your health goals with you and then examine you thoroughly to identify the cause of any problems.
What happens after the first visit?
On your second visit you receive the Report of Findings, a set of recommendations made by the doctor to improve and maintain your health. Once you and the doctor have agreed on a course of care, later visits are shorter and may take only five to ten minutes for the doctor to evaluate your spine and nervous system and make the necessary adjustments.
Can chiropractic help with more than back and neck pain?
The founder statement from Dr. Leah McAlpine says that while chiropractors naturally help with traditional back and neck pain, chiropractic has also produced results with various other health problems, including headaches, acid reflux, shoulder pain, hip pain, sinus problems, and ear infections.

The Webster Technique is a specific chiropractic analysis and adjustment focused on the nervous system and the biomechanical balance of pelvic structures, muscles, and ligaments.
