FAQs

What can I expect at the free on-site consultation?
One of our qualified arborists inspects the trees and plants on your property to gauge their health, then recommends the services that best suit them. Your original proposal is sent by email unless you ask for it another way.
How soon can you start after I approve a proposal?
For tree trimming or removal, we are typically about 6 to 8 weeks out. Unless it is an emergency or a special circumstance, jobs are completed in the order they are accepted, and our trim supervisor calls to confirm your date once it is scheduled.
What is deep root fertilization?
We use a probe to inject our own specialized organic fertilizer mixture directly into the soil around the roots, which makes the nutrients more accessible to the tree than surface feeding.
Can you treat trees that have pests or disease?
Yes. We provide tree pest and disease control, including emerald ash borer treatment, and we use strategies that limit environmental exposure. Call for a free plant and tree health analysis if you see wilting or discolored leaves, small holes, mold, cankers, or a thinning canopy.
Do you offer lawn care as well as tree care?
Yes. Our comprehensive 5 Step Lawn and Weed Program is designed for Front Range climate and soil conditions. The first application is typically applied in early spring, between April and May, with following applications on 5 to 6 week cycles.
What is the deep root water recharge service?
It is a supplemental watering service for drought conditions. Because a tree's water absorbing roots sit mainly in the top 12 inches of soil, deep watering reaches the deeper, more drought resistant roots and keeps the soil below the surface moist.
Which areas do you serve?
Schra Tree Care proudly serves Fort Collins, Loveland, Berthoud, Windsor, and Johnstown/Milliken.
