Cabinet refacing keeps the existing bases and replaces doors and drawer fronts with new pieces custom-built in the Loveland shop, and full custom cabinetry is designed with an in-house interior designer and then built and finished by the DPC team. The company also builds fireplace built-ins, custom storage and shelving, and offers interior design consulting with mockups for remodels. Estimates are free with no obligation, and finished work is backed by a written warranty that runs 3 years on exterior painting including siding and trim and 1 year on cabinetry finishes against peeling or chipping.

How does cabinet refinishing work?
Doors and drawer fronts are brought back to our shop for refinishing while your space is masked off so the bases can be prepped and sprayed on site. That means no tear-out mess and no long wait. The entire process takes approximately two weeks, with only about half of that timeline spent on site in your home.
What is the difference between refinishing and refacing?
Refinishing keeps your existing doors and drawer fronts and gives them a new durable finish, which is a good option when you want a change without replacing the cabinets. Refacing keeps the current bases in place and replaces the doors and drawer fronts with new ones custom-built in our Loveland shop, so it also updates the style of the space.
Do you build custom cabinets?
Yes. Whether you want to add cabinets to a mudroom, redesign a pantry or do a full kitchen remodel, our interior designer works with you on a design that fits your needs and your style. We then build the cabinetry in our shop in Loveland, Colorado, install it and finish it to bring the whole look together.
What warranty comes with the work?
Exterior painting including siding and trim carries a 3 year warranty, with 1 year on horizontal painted surfaces and on exterior surfaces including decks. Cabinetry carries a 1 year warranty against peeling or chipping, and new hinges and drawer glides on a DPC Cabinet Reface carry 3 years when installed by DPC. Normal wear and tear, interior passage door finish and handrail finish are not covered, and the warranty period starts once final payment is received.
Who owns DPC Painting & Refinishing?
The company is owned by David Sward, who has been in the local painting and refinishing industry since 1999 and graduated from Loveland High School in 2002 and Regis University in 2008. He has grown the business to attract highly skilled painters and finishers while maintaining a company-wide culture of respect, integrity and kindness.
