Simple Man Handyman is a carpentry-driven handyman company founded in 2019 by owner and lead carpenter Ty Gardner, who was born and raised in Loveland and now leads a small team of trusted craftsmen serving Northern Colorado. The team specializes in small-to-mid-sized home upgrades rather than full remodels: railings and stair updates, trim, accent and feature walls, built-ins and custom storage, functional room transformations, practical handyman updates, and exterior carpentry. Work is priced by the job rather than by the hour, with no hidden fees, a $225 minimum service charge, and most projects falling between $500 and $5,000. Virtual and in-person basic estimates are free, and the process runs from an estimate request with photos through scheduling to a completed project. Every project is backed by a one-year workmanship warranty. Alongside craftsmanship, the company is on a mission to fix the communication gap homeowners often experience with tradesmen, and it makes monthly contributions to Kiss the Ground, One Tree Planted, Nourish Colorado, and Realities For Children.

Why choose us?

One-year workmanship warranty

Every project is backed by a one-year workmanship warranty, so you can feel confident the job is done right. If any issues arise, the team makes it right.

Free estimates

Virtual and in-person basic estimates are free and consultative. A $50 to $100 fee may apply for projects that need extra planning, detailed measurements, or material research, and it is credited toward your project if you hire us.

Priced by the job, not the hour

Pricing is clear and straightforward with no hidden fees. A $225 minimum service charge covers setup, travel, and the focused attention quality work requires.

Carpentry-driven craftsmanship

This is not a quick-fix shop. The team specializes in custom built-ins, trim carpentry, railings, and mid-sized home upgrades built to last.

Communication you can count on

The biggest complaint homeowners have about tradesmen is poor communication. Simple Man Handyman is on a mission to change that, from your first message to the final walkthrough.

A small, consistent team

No big rotating crew. Owner Ty Gardner works alongside project technicians Justin Voorhees and Ryan Stauffer, so the same people take pride in the work in your home.

FAQs

What types of projects does Simple Man Handyman specialize in?
We specialize in small-to-mid-size home upgrades that focus on craftsmanship, including built-ins, trim carpentry, railings, closet systems, mudrooms, garage shelving, and small kitchen or bathroom updates. Our work is designed to improve your home without the cost or disruption of a full remodel.
How much does a project cost?
Most of our projects fall in the $500 to $5,000 range depending on size, complexity, and materials. Simpler handyman updates start at $225, and some projects range up to $5,000 to $10,000. All jobs are priced by the job rather than by the hour.
Do you provide estimates before starting a project?
Yes. Every project starts with a clear estimate and a discussion of materials, timeline, and costs. Virtual and in-person basic estimates are free, and a $50 to $100 fee may apply for projects needing extra planning or detailed measurements, credited toward your project if you hire us.
Do you guarantee your work?
Absolutely. All projects are completed with care and attention to detail, and we stand behind our craftsmanship. Every project is covered by a one-year workmanship warranty, and if any issues arise we make it right.
What is not included in your services?
We do not take on full remodels or major construction, licensed trades such as major plumbing, electrical, HVAC, roofing or framing, hazardous material abatement, attic or crawlspace work, tile installation, irrigation systems, fence and deck staining, large painting or drywall jobs, or second story work.
How does the process work?
First you request an estimate and share photos, a description, and your home's location. We review the details and either estimate the project virtually or schedule an in-person consultation. Once you approve the estimate we confirm the schedule and complete the work.
How can I pay for my project?
Payment is easy and flexible. We accept card, check, bank transfer, Venmo, and cash.
What areas do you serve?
Our main service area is Loveland. For a small operation the main factor is drive time and scheduling logistics rather than distance, so we do occasionally take on projects in South Fort Collins or North Berthoud when they align with our core services and our schedule allows.
