Vita Nova Spinal Care
Vita Nova Spinal Care, PC is a Littleton chiropractic office on South Broadway practicing NUCCA and QSM3, two gentle forms of chiropractic care that restore balance to the whole human frame and focus on permanent results. Both methods require no forceful twisting, popping, or cracking, and the office notes they are barely felt by the patient. Care is led by Dr. Chavez, a Licensed Colorado Doctor of Chiropractic who earned his Chiropractic Doctorate Magna Cum Laude from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa, and who holds a 180 hour Certificate from the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association. New clients begin with a health consultation and a complete manual spinal and postural examination, followed by a computerized spinal examination using INSiGHT technology and a high frequency digital cervical X-ray series, then return for a report of findings that lays out the recommended plan. Alongside upper cervical correction the practice cares for pregnant women using the Activator and Webster techniques, adjusts children with light, full spine and cranial approaches, and offers nutritional therapy with Maddy West. Enhanced services at the office include Sound Chair therapy, BrainTap light and sound sessions, AO Scan digital body analysis, and massage chair sessions in a Human Touch Super Novo chair. Consultations are free, and Dr. Chavez offers special family pricing when all children are checked at the same time as mom and dad.

FAQs
What is NUCCA and how is it different from regular chiropractic?
NUCCA and QSM3 are gentle forms of chiropractic care that restore balance to the whole human frame and focus on permanent results. Vita Nova Spinal Care describes them as requiring no forceful twisting, popping, or cracking, and says they are barely felt by the patient. With the NUCCA correction method the spinal column remains straight and balanced, with the weight of the head centered over the neck.
What happens on my first visit?
Your first visit lasts approximately an hour for the consult and examination and serves as the information gathering time. It begins with an initial health consultation, followed by a complete manual spinal and postural examination, a computerized spinal examination with INSiGHT technology, and a complete cervical X-ray series. You are asked to complete the new client forms before you arrive, which saves about 15 to 20 minutes.
When do I find out the results?
You are scheduled for a follow-up appointment within a few days of your initial visit, and at that second visit the office reviews your results and develops a plan of action. The report of findings includes a detailed analysis of the recommendations to solve your discomfort and misalignments. You may invite anyone in your family to accompany you.
Do you charge for a consultation?
No. Vita Nova Spinal Care invites you to schedule a free consultation so the office can discuss the future of your health care. A free nutrition consultation and a free phone consultation are also offered.
Do you treat pregnant women and children?
Yes. Pregnant women receive the gentle QSM3 technique and full spine care using the Activator and Webster techniques. Children around the age of 5 and younger are most often cared for with a QSM3, full spine and cranial therapy approach, and only in special cases are X-rays deemed necessary. Dr. Chavez holds a 180 hour Certificate from the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association.
How many visits will I need?
The office says it typically takes 4 weeks for the muscles to gain a new memory and up to 20 weeks for new neurological patterns to develop. It is typical to need care 8 to 10 times in the first 4 weeks, 4 to 8 times per month for 5 to 12 weeks, and 2 to 4 times over the following 6 to 8 months. The course of treatment depends on your overall health, the severity of your problem, and the amount of stress in your life.
What services do you offer besides adjustments?
The practice offers nutritional therapy and supplement guidance with Maddy West, Sound Chair therapy that uses sound waves to help the body, BrainTap light and sound sessions, AO Scan digital body analysis, and massage sessions in a Human Touch Super Novo massage chair. Dr. Chavez is also available for speaking engagements.
