Dr. Nicholas Reinholtz is a graduate of the National College of Chiropractic and a certified Chiropractic Sports Physician and Acupuncturist. A Michigan native, he moved to Colorado in 1998 and opened his practice, and he lives in Highlands Ranch with his family. He cares for patients of all ages and specializes in treating injuries from auto accidents, worker's compensation claims and sports. Care combines hands-on Diversified and Gonstead chiropractic techniques with active stretching, acupressure and interferential therapy, plus a Cox Flexion and Distraction table for herniated disc injuries and Dr. Reinholtz's knowledge of reflexology. The office also offers acupuncture and cupping, dry needling, radial shock wave therapy, percutaneous tibial nerve stimulation, nutritional counseling, lifestyle advice and spinal and postural screenings at community events. In-house massage therapists provide everything from Hot Stone to Ashiatsu, with massage appointments available seven days a week in daytime and evening slots. Patients come in for back and neck pain, hip and leg pain, arthritis and chronic pain, carpal tunnel, headaches and migraines, dizziness and numbness, and fatigue. A first visit includes patient forms, a consultation with Dr. Reinholtz, a complete chiropractic examination, X-rays where the condition calls for them, and a detailed report of findings before any treatment begins. Most insurance plans are accepted, including auto accident, workers compensation, personal injury and Medicare, and the staff will verify and explain your benefits before treatment at no charge. Where is Reinholtz Family Chiropractic located and when is the office open?

What happens at my first visit?
You complete the patient forms from the New Patient Center, then have a consultation with Dr. Nick Reinholtz about your concerns and treatment options. He performs a complete chiropractic examination testing reflexes and flexibility along with standard neurological, orthopedic, postural and physical tests. Depending on your condition X-rays may be taken. He then gives you a detailed report of all findings and answers your questions before you choose whether to begin treatment that day. Nothing is done in the office without your consent.
Which chiropractic techniques does Dr. Reinholtz use?
He uses hands-on Diversified and Gonstead chiropractic techniques and a Cox Flexion and Distraction table for herniated disc injuries. He combines those adjustments with active stretching, acupressure and interferential therapy, and he also draws on reflexology plus acupuncture and acupressure modalities.
Do you accept insurance?
Most insurance plans are accepted. The site lists auto claims, United Healthcare, Cofinity, Humana, Medicare and work comp among them, and the office also takes personal injury cases. Because plans and coverage vary widely, call the office and the staff will verify and explain your benefits before treatment, at no charge.
What if I do not have chiropractic insurance coverage?
The practice says it has maintained a pricing structure that allows care for all budgets. For patients with little or no chiropractic insurance coverage, flexible payment programs can be arranged, and many patients pay directly for care. What is percutaneous tibial nerve stimulation?
PTNS is a nonsurgical treatment completed over multiple office visits. It delivers electrical stimulation through the tibial nerve at the inner ankle, which passes to the sacral nerve. The therapy consists of 12 treatments administered once a week, and after that initial 12 week session there may need to be occasional treatments to maintain muscle control. It can take a month or more of the 30 minute treatments before a patient sees initial improvements.
