Big Red Hauls is a Colorado Springs dumpster rental and junk removal company founded by Holger Jacks, who spent 10 years in the Army and 15 years in insurance before launching the business. The company takes the guesswork out of choosing a container by placing a single 20 cubic yard roll-off with metered lines at 6 and 15 cubic yards, so customers pay only for the space they actually fill. Rates are flat and published on the website rather than held back for a sales call. The team handles home renovation debris, restoration projects, yard waste, appliances, electronics, and construction, demolition and roofing material, and it also delivers bulk sand, stone, mulch and topsoil directly to the job site. Commercial projects are welcome alongside residential cleanouts. Big Red Hauls reuses and takes apart what it can and connects with local artisans so usable items get another life instead of a trip to the landfill, serving El Paso, Elbert, Pueblo, Douglas and Teller Counties.

Why choose us?

Pay only for what you use

Every 20 cubic yard roll-off is metered with lines at 6 and 15 cubic yards. If you fill only 6 cubic yards, you are charged for 6 cubic yards.

One bin covers three sizes

Instead of guessing which container fits your project, Big Red Hauls drops one big red dumpster that meters at three levels and covers jobs big and small.

Flat rates posted online

The company does not hide its rates from the internet. You can see pricing up front and call only when you are ready to schedule, with no upsell just to get a number.

Reuse before the landfill

The team takes items apart, mines old electronics for materials that can go back into new products, and turns yard debris into mulch instead of sending it all to the dump.

Residential and commercial jobs

Spring cleaning, garage clearouts, basement restoration, large renovations and commercial projects are all handled with the same metered roll-off service.

Coverage across five counties

Big Red Hauls serves El Paso, Elbert, Pueblo, Douglas and Teller Counties, delivering responsible waste removal throughout the Colorado Springs area.

FAQs

How does the metered dumpster work?
Big Red Hauls places a 20 cubic yard roll-off that has metered lines marked at 6 and 15 cubic yards. You are charged for the level you fill, so filling only 6 cubic yards means you pay the 6 cubic yard rate rather than the full container rate.
What does the price include?
The price of a roll-off dumpster service includes delivery and pick-up for the selected roll-off, including any applicable sales and local tax, plus the agreed upon disposal allowance for a service period of 7 days for residential services.
What materials are accepted?
Big Red Hauls typically handles waste materials from new construction, remodeling, demolition and roofing projects. Specialty recyclable wastes such as concrete, brush and stumps are also accepted. Call the office if an item is not on the accepted or prohibited list.
What materials are prohibited?
Prohibited items include hazardous waste, dirt, industrial waste, chemical products, herbicides and pesticides, solvents, paint, flammable liquids, propane tanks, motor and hydraulic oils, antifreeze, tires, batteries, fluorescent tubes, medical waste, asbestos, barrels and all liquids. The FAQ page carries the full list.
Can I extend my dumpster rental?
Yes. Call Big Red Hauls at least one business day before your scheduled pick-up and the team will extend the service, schedule permitting.
Do you deliver bulk materials?
Yes. Big Red Hauls delivers sand, stone, mulch and topsoil and dumps the material right on site. Call the office to talk about availability and pricing.
Do I need a permit for a roll-off dumpster?
Check with your local municipality. Permits may be required, especially if you are considering placing the container on a street.
Can one dumpster be used at more than one job site?
Yes. Big Red Hauls will deliver to your first job site and then move the same dumpster to a second site once you are ready. A relocation fee applies, but it is typically less than the cost of a second service.
