What sets the office apart, in its own words, is care delivered without twisting, cracking or popping. The doctors hold Certified Advanced Proficiency in the Torque Release Technique, and the clinic states it is the only chiropractic office in Colorado Springs with that advanced proficiency. The technique was designed out of a double blinded, placebo controlled study at the University of Miami school of medicine and uses the Integrator, an FDA approved adjusting instrument that fires in one ten thousandth of a second and discharges automatically once a predetermined contact pressure is reached. Because the spine is adjusted in a relaxed, neutral position with pinpoint accuracy and minimal force, patients of any age can be adjusted gently. The office sets a standard of objective evaluation both before and after care, so patients can see structural change in the spine and not only feel it. Dr. Kent brings a background in biomedical engineering to a systematic approach to care, and all of the doctors are certified in Webster's technique for prenatal patients. Yes. All of the doctors are certified in Webster's technique, a method of analysis for the position of the sacrum that includes adjusting the sacrum if needed, releasing compensatory muscle spasms such as the piriformis and psoas, and round ligament release. Dr. Grace Gilbreath is the practice's Perinatal Certified Chiropractor. The office describes chiropractic care during pregnancy as safe and beneficial.
What do you offer besides chiropractic adjustments?
The office also offers spinal decompression, a gentle non-surgical procedure for bulging, herniated or degenerative discs in the neck and lumbar regions, shockwave therapy for conditions such as plantar fasciitis, tennis elbow, Achilles pain and rotator cuff pain, and a drug-free, non-surgical peripheral neuropathy program. The office notes that shockwave therapy is an elective pay modality and is not covered by insurance.
Does insurance cover chiropractic care here?
