Digital spinal x-rays
Digital x-rays are almost always performed to determine exactly where the lack of proper movement is in the spine and which specific vertebrae need to be addressed. X-rays are typically taken on the first visit.
Non-surgical spinal decompression
As clinically indicated, non-surgical spinal decompression is used to take pressure off the disc and off the nerve.
Functional neurology
Dr. Lovett is a Certified Chiropractic Clinical Neurologist and applies that post-graduate training every day in the way he evaluates and treats patients.

What happens at my first appointment?
The consultation, exam and x-rays are all performed on the first visit along with an initial relief treatment. Dr. Lovett discusses your case history, performs a physical examination, and typically takes x-rays because they provide insight into the condition of the spine that cannot be felt by the chiropractor. You will also typically receive an adjustment on the first visit unless there is a contraindication.
How long do appointments take?
Your first two appointments are more in depth and typically take 15 to 30 minutes. Subsequent appointments can take 10 to 25 minutes depending on which services Dr. Lovett determines to be most beneficial for you.

The office is open Monday 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM and 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM, Tuesday 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM, Wednesday 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM and 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM, Thursday 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM and 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM, and Friday 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. It is closed Saturday and Sunday.
How do you measure whether care is working?
The office performs re-examinations every 10 to 12 visits, measuring spinal range of motion along with orthopedic and neurologic improvements. It relies on a combination of subjective and objective testing to gauge how you are responding and whether the care plan needs to change.
