The company was founded by retired Army Special Forces Green Beret Keith Boarman and is now owned and operated as a team by Erik Gustafson, Richard Koss, Dan Stone, Michael Smith, and Justin Nair, whose owner/operators bring more than 75 years of combined experience with Colorado tree species. Its certified arborists are led by a Board Certified Master Arborist and handle tree removal, tree pruning, stump grinding, crane assisted removals, Plant Health Care including emerald ash borer treatment, fire mitigation, tree support systems, arborist consultation, and firewood and wood chips. Patriot Tree Company owns a 38 ton mobile crane and runs it in house rather than subcontracting, and it is a Wildfire Partners approved contractor for defensible space and wildfire fuels reduction work.
