Complete Subaru service and repair is handled in house, with affiliates used for body and frame work. Maintenance covers major and minor jobs including lube, oil and filter changes, scheduled mileage maintenances in accordance with your car's owners manual, brake inspection, replacement and service covering brake lines, brake pads, rotors and drum brakes, and air conditioning diagnosis, recharging and leak inspection. Every oil change includes a 27 point inspection checklist. The shop is certified in major transmission, clutch and engine repair and replacement, and handles everything Subaru from routine maintenance to major engine overhaul. On the electrical side the mechanics inspect and diagnose all electrical problems, alert you to future problems, and perform complete check engine light diagnosis using dedicated diagnostic equipment and a complete library of service manuals. Tom White graduated from Denver Automotive School in 1981, has over 40 years of experience working on Subarus, was among the first few certified Subaru Senior Master Technicians in the United States, and is an ASE Master Auto Technician recertified every five years. Kent Kaminski attended Pitkin Tech Automotive School, has over 34 years of Subaru experience and has been with Silver Star Automotive for the past 32 years, and Zach White has over 18 years of Subaru experience. The shop is clean and organized, stocks new and used parts on many items to get you in and out as quickly as possible, and weather permitting typically washes your engine with any engine repair or service. Silver Star also recycles used motor oil in a waste oil heater that heats the facility, accepts drop-offs of oil from do-it-yourself changes, and recycles its own antifreeze.
