ColorAuto Detailing
ColorAuto Detailing is an auto detailing and vehicle protection shop at 562 South Westgate Drive in Grand Junction, Colorado, offering detailing, paint correction, paint protection film, ceramic coating, window tinting, and Color PPF. The shop describes its detailing as going well beyond a simple car wash, meticulously cleaning, restoring, and protecting every surface of the vehicle. The published exterior process includes a two bucket hand wash using only microfiber towels, a clay bar treatment that pulls embedded contamination out of the paint, wheels and wheel wells cleaned, baked on brake dust removed, tires and door jambs degreased and agitated with detailing brushes, tar and bug splatter dissolved with a concentrated cleaning agent, UV protectant applied to trim, and a synthetic wax the site rates at 3 to 4 months of protection. Interior work adds a deep vacuum, steam cleaning, conditioning of interior surfaces, and leather conditioning, and a full auto detail covers both the exterior and interior plus the engine bay. Detailing prices are published by vehicle size: for cars, interior is 195 dollars, exterior is 195 dollars, and a full detail is 329 dollars, while truck and SUV pricing runs 219, 219, and 385 dollars and large SUV pricing runs 249, 249, and 439 dollars. A hand wash starts at 45 dollars, a maintenance detail starts at 125 dollars, and an upgrade to a premium paint sealant for 6 to 8 months of protection is listed at 85 dollars. Paint correction is offered as its own service, using machine polishing and premium compounds against swirl marks, spider webbing, light to moderate scratches, water spots and etching, and oxidation. Ceramic coating comes in two published levels, Level 1 starting at 950 dollars covering all exterior painted panels and Level 2 starting at 1,450 dollars covering exterior paint, trim, wheel faces, and glass, with wheels off and upholstery protection available as add ons. Paint protection film is pre cut from XPEL DAP digital patterns, a library the site puts at more than 80,000 vehicle-specific patterns, and is sold as Partial Front starting at 800 dollars, Full Front starting at 1,600 dollars, the Drivers Package starting at 2,500 dollars, and Full Coverage starting at 5,500 dollars. Window tinting uses XPEL PRIME film in three tiers, PRIME CS from 250 dollars, PRIME XR from 350 dollars, and PRIME XR PLUS from 500 dollars, and the shop states it keeps installations compliant with Colorado law requiring front side windows to allow more than 27 percent of light through. Home and office window film is installed as well, and Color PPF is available for accent pieces or a full vehicle wrap in hundreds of colors and finishes. The team is led by founder and owner Paul, who also works as lead installer, alongside a window tint specialist and detailing technicians. Free quotes are offered, and the shop can be reached by phone or email.
