San Diego Dental Studio
San Diego Dental Studio is a general and cosmetic dental practice in the Sorrento Valley/Mira Mesa area of San Diego, where Dr. Tom Bierman and Dr. Quan Ma work with a team of dentists, hygienists and dental assistants. The practice covers preventive care such as cleanings, exams, x-rays, oral cancer screenings, gum and periodontal disease treatment and TMJ therapy, restorative work including fillings, root canals, crowns, bridges, dental implants, dentures and tooth extractions, and cosmetic treatment such as teeth whitening, porcelain veneers, dental bonding, composite fillings and Invisalign. The office uses CEREC computer-aided design and manufacturing to produce same-day crowns in house, and its dentists believe preventive care and education are the keys to optimal dental health. A $349 new patient special covers x-rays, initial cleaning, comprehensive exam and photos, financing is offered through CareCredit and Cherry, and existing patients have an after-hours emergency number.

Where is San Diego Dental Studio located?

Do you have an offer for new patients?
Yes. There is a $349 new patient special that includes x-rays, initial cleaning, comprehensive exam and photos. It does not include periodontal therapy (deep cleaning) if that is necessary due to periodontal disease, and some restrictions may apply, so contact the office for details.
Can I get a crown in a single visit?
Yes. San Diego Dental Studio offers same-day crowns made with CEREC computer-aided design and manufacturing. The crown is made in the office and fitted on your tooth all in one visit, and the practice states the function and lifetime of traditional and same-day crowns are exactly the same.

Do you offer financing or payment plans?

Which dentists will I see?
The practice is led by Thomas Bierman, DDS, who earned his DDS from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry, and Quan Ma, DMD, who earned his DMD from Temple University in 2007. Both are voluntary clinical instructors in Family Medicine and Public Health at UC San Diego.
How often should I come in for a checkup?
The practice likes to see patients a minimum of twice a year. With biannual dental exams the dentists are able to see early signs of decay that you may not, and professional cleanings remove plaque from areas that are hard to reach at home.
