What are your office hours?
Cabrillo Dental is open Monday through Thursday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Friday from 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The office is closed Saturday and Sunday.
Do you take my dental insurance?
The practice is in network with a long list of plans, including Aetna, Ameritas, Anthem, Anthem Bluecross, Assurant, Bluecross Blueshield, Cigna, Careington, Connection Dental, Cypress, Delta Dental, Dentemax, DHA, First Dental Health, GEHA, Guardian, Humana, Liberty, Lincoln, Metlife, Premier Access, Principal, Sunlife, United Concordia/Tricare and United Healthcare. Call the office to confirm your specific plan.
What if I do not have dental insurance?
Cabrillo Dental offers an in-office dental plan. The individual personal monthly plan is $37 a month and the perio/ortho monthly plan is $70 a month. It is a discount dental program, not dental insurance, and it cannot be used in conjunction with any other discount plan or insurance program.
What does the in-office dental plan cover?
The individual plan includes one comprehensive exam and one periodic exam, full mouth series x-rays (two per person per benefit year), fluoride treatment for patients 12 and younger (one per person per benefit year), cleanings (two per person per benefit year when periodontal disease is absent), oral cancer screening twice a year, and emergency exams (four per person per year, including necessary x-rays).
Do you offer financing?
Yes. Cabrillo Dental works with CareCredit, Alphaeon and Lending Club, and all of the financing companies it works with offer 12 months with no interest. There is also an extended plan of 5 years with interest, though every company has different interest rates. Pre-qualification is available without impacting your credit score.
What kinds of dental implants do you place?
The practice provides single tooth implants, multiple tooth replacement, All-on-4 implants, same-day dental implants and zygomatic dental implants. The All-on-4 special is priced per arch with extractions and bone grafts included.
Do you offer cosmetic treatments as well as general dentistry?
Yes. Alongside exams, cleanings, deep cleanings, fillings, root canals, crowns, extractions and dentures, Cabrillo Dental provides whitening, porcelain veneers, total smile enhancement and Invisalign.
Who will be treating me?
Dr. Pirouz Salehi, D.D.S. leads the practice. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of California, San Diego and his doctorate from the New York University College of Dentistry, completes many hours of continuing education each year, and is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association and the San Diego County Dental Society.
