Are you accepting new patients?
Yes. 850 Modern Dentistry is now open to serve the greater Tallahassee area and is accepting new patients. You can schedule online, call 850-391-1747 or text 850-391-7171 to request an appointment, and same-week appointments are available.
What are your office hours?
We are open Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Friday from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM. We are closed Saturday and Sunday.
Do you see dental emergencies?
Yes. We provide emergency dental care for toothaches and sudden dental pain, cracked, chipped or broken teeth, swelling and signs of infection, lost fillings or crowns, urgent tooth extractions and limited emergency exams. What happens at an emergency visit?
We perform a limited or comprehensive exam based on your needs, take any necessary X-rays, identify the exact source of your pain, explain your treatment options in plain language, and start same-day treatment when possible. If a tooth cannot be saved, we walk you through the extraction process, healing and recovery, and replacement options such as dental implants.
Which dental insurance plans do you accept?
We accept many PPO dental insurance plans, including Aetna Dental PPO, Ameritas PPO, Beam Benefits, Cigna PPO, Delta Dental PPO, Delta Dental Premier, Florida Combined Life, Guardian Dental, Humana Dental PPO, MetLife Dental PPO, Principal PPO, Sunlife Dental PPO, United HealthCare PPO, The Standard PPO and Unum PPO. We do not accept HMO or government insurance programs, and we do not accept copay plans or prepaid plans. What if I do not have dental insurance?
We offer a Membership Program for uninsured patients. The Healthy Mouth Plan is $399 a year and includes 2 routine exams, 2 cleanings, all necessary X-rays including 3D, and 1 emergency exam, plus 20% off most treatment. The Periodontal Plan is $849 a year and includes 2 routine exams, complete periodontal therapy with scaling and root planing, 3 cleanings a year as periodontal maintenance, all necessary X-rays including 3D, and 1 emergency exam, plus 20% off most treatment. Invisalign and other clear aligners are excluded from both plans. Membership is not insurance and is valid 12 months.
